No matter your age, you may feel a little nervous about visiting the dentist and have some questions to ask before coming to see us. Most of our patients do have questions about our practice and we’ve posted our most frequently asked ones below. How does the doctor keep up to date on all of the current techniques and materials?

Dr. Debbaneh is extensively trained, but because dentistry is constantly changing, he does a number of things to stay up-to-date on all of the current findings. He frequently attends continuing education courses that focus on the latest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He also belongs to organizations that offer seminars and conferences on changes in dentistry.

How do I know when it’s time to come in for a checkup?

When you first visit our practice, Dr. Debbaneh recommends visiting every six months. If you take good care of your teeth, we may adjust this time period.  We have a recall system generating a recall card “reminder” we send to our patient when it is time for a check up and cleaning.

Do you accept my insurance plan?

In this day and age, we know deciphering your insurance benefits can be confusing. We can help you with any insurance concern and complete the necessary paperwork for you.

We understand the value of insurance benefits and will assist you in obtaining your maximum benefit. We will gladly process your insurance claims for you and will also estimate your deductible and co-pay.

We accept most dental insurance plans. If you have a PPO dental insurance, you are free to see any dentist of your choice. However, if you have an HMO or a DHMO, you have to see your assigned dentist. We are a preferred (or contracted) provider with:

Blue Cross and Blue Shield
Cigna PPO

HealthNet
Humana PPO

Cosmetic dentistry, veneers, etc. are usually not covered by insurance.

Will I be charged if I need to cancel an appointment?

We know your schedule can change abruptly. If you need to cancel an appointment, please call us immediately so we can reschedule you. If you cancel  24 hours before your scheduled time, you will make it easier for us to fill the space. If you miss your appointment one time,  we will understand, but if you miss more without calling and canceling, we reserve the right to charge you a small cancellation fee.

What different payment options do you provide?

Our office accepts cash, check and credit cards such as Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express.

What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety?

There are a number of things we do in our office to ensure patient safety. First, we offer the best and most proven services, instruments, and products available in dentistry. We know they will keep you pain-free and comfortable while we work.  In addition, we keep up-to-date on the latest sterilization procedures and research. Our instruments are thoroughly sterilized in accordance with ADA accepted guidelines and we have a sterilization center where we can maximize efficient sterilization and minimize the chance of contamination through human error.
